Recipe: Strawberry Relish

Strawberry Relish

Ingredients
  • Market:
    • Strawberries from Jody’s Strawberries ($3.50)
    • Mint ($1.00)
    • Cilantro ($2.00)
    • Radish Flowers ($2.00)
    • Strawberries from Watsonia Farms ($14.00)
    • Green Onions from Snapfinger Farms ($3.00)
    • Radishes from Local lands ($3.00)
  • Pantry:
    • 1/4 cup Vinegar
    • 5 Cubes Crystallized Ginger


 Directions
  1. Chop 1bunch of radishes and place in a large bowl. Cover radishes with 1/4 cup vinegar and allow to sit while chopping remaining ingredients.
  2. Chop 3 small tomatoes, 5 cubes crystallized ginger, 1/2 bunch green onions, and a small handful each of mint and cilantro. Mix the ingredients and set aside.
  3. Chop 2 quarts of strawberries to add to the mix and combine.
  4. Garnish with radish flowers and serve with dipper of choice (tortilla chips, crackers, etc.) or as a relish on an entree.
