Community Events

As part of our mission of supporting a diverse, interconnected food system, CFM engages the Atlanta community with annual experiences. Each event offers a unique perspective on the local food movement, from a traditional pig roast, to a night of samples from Atlanta’s top female chefs and mixologists, to a bicycle tour of sustainable farms in the area. Proceeds from these events proudly support CFM’s programming.

This page will be updated as each upcoming event is scheduled and linked. Please note that CFM may add or remove events as our schedule allows.

Lady Locavores 2022

Lady Locavores 2020 was the last time our community was able to gather, share food and drinks with the ease of pre-pandemic days. The event was on March 8, 2020, just days before the way we lived changed. Now, two years later, we are rebirthing our signature event to celebrate and elevate womxn in the Atlanta local food community. Thanks to our weekly farmers markets, we have experience creating safe spaces for community-building during a pandemic, and, believe us, this event will be back better than ever!

We’ve reimagined the event by extending the celebration over a two-month period honoring Atlanta’s womxn in food. Beginning on March 8, we’ll gather both in person and virtually to connect in meaningful ways. Head over to LadyLocavores.com for tickets and more details.

Fruit Tree Sale

The annual Fruit Tree Sale is held each year in January or February. It offers over 50 varieties of fruit trees, vines and berry bushes for planting in Georgia’s gardens and farms. The sale is a collaborative effort and raises funds for The Orchard Project, which plants trees in local community gardens and school gardens.

Fruit Tree Sale 2022 has concluded. Thank you so much for your orders!

Lady Locavores (at Home 2021!)

Lady Locavores: unparalleled food and drink and a celebration of the womxn-identifying folk in the Atlanta food world. Each International Women’s Day, join us as we honor Lady Locavore award recipients, sample locally-crafted food, and auction off experiences and products – all by local womxn.

Celebrate International Womxns Day and beyond, with a 4-part virtual series led by several of Atlanta’s Lady Locavores!

Community Farmers Markets invites you to Lady Locavores at Home, including a tea ceremony, cocktail making class, cooking class, and flower arranging demo.

Each session will be from 7:30-8:30 p.m. EST. You may register for 1, 2, 3 or all of these events! You’ll receive a Zoom link closer to the session.

COST: The sessions are “pay what you can” – we appreciate a donation of any amount. Our goal would normally be  to raise $25,000 at Lady Locavores to support our educational chef program. One hundred percent of the donations we receive from Lady Locavores at Home will go towards our educational chefs. Thank you!

Red Clay Soirée

Community Farmers Markets invites you to our annual solo fundraising gala, the Red Clay Soirée. Georgia red clay is the ground that connects us all and is the foundation from which our farmers grow and nourish our community. The event will highlight the best of the local food movement with the top farmers, farm-to-table chefs, and mixologists of Atlanta.

The Red Clay Soirée blends high-class service with a touch of farm grit – the makings for the most unique night of the year!
