Recipe: Okra Chaat

Demonstrated at the Westside Farmers Market on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016



  1. Heat a pan full of oil, at least a few inches deep.
  2. While the pan is heating, mix together cumin, coriander, salt, chat masala and cilantro.
  3. Julienne all the vegetables.
  4. When the oil is at 275 degrees, add the okra. Fry to golden brown, then drain on paper towels for a few minutes.
  5. Season the other vegetables with the spice mixture. Add lemon juice, then add okra. Serve immediately.
