Join us for a day of community, movement, farms, and good food! The event includes a group bike ride between Global Growers sites in Decatur, a family-style dinner by Chef Mia Orino made with farm-grown ingredients, and beverages by Petals Bradley.

[Originating in Italy, fondo, short for “gran fondo”, is a long-distance, mass-participation cycling event.]

Farm tours at two Global Growers sites, where dozens of people from across the globe steward the land and cultivate heritage crops.

Mia Orino, Kamayan ATL

Farm Fondo’s head chef will be Mia Orino, chef and co-owner of the renowned Filipino restaurant Kamayan, and a 2026 Lady Locavores winner! Mia is a self-taught cook passionate about sharing the traditional and regional Filipino cuisine her mother passed down to her. Expect a communal eating experience with dynamic and balanced flavors that will delight your palate!

Mia is not only a talented, decorated chef, but also deeply invested in her local community. By working with local farmers, including those from Global Growers, Kamayan reduces food waste and supports local growers by preparing 120-300 hot meals weekly for distribution to various nonprofits.

Petals Bradley, Woodland Wellness

Farm Fondo’s drink specialist, Petals Bradley, is guided by her conviction that food is medicine. Petals is a double-certified Holistic Practitioner, permaculturalist, farmer, and the 2026 winner of the Lady Locavores Beverage Award.

As the heart and hands behind Woodland Wellness Farm Apothecary, Petals crafts every beverage offering with deep intention, traditional wisdom, and a reverence for the land. For Petals, locally sourced isn’t a trend; it’s a devotion. You can expect her tonics and elixirs to be not only tasty and refreshing, but also good for your body, mind, and soul.

Global Growers Network

Global Growers Network (GGN) is an Atlanta-area nonprofit that brings together immigrant and refugee farmers and local communities through the shared power of food and agriculture. GGN gives immigrants and refugees the opportunity to become self-sufficient in a new country by providing land to farm on, materials to farm with, and training on topics like food safety and business skills. GGN also connects growers with spaces to sell their produce and make an income. Here, agriculture is not just about food; it’s about preserving cultural traditions, strengthening the local food system, building community, and caring for the earth we all share.

GGN began as a group of families who arrived in the Clarkston area with refugee status and wanted to establish a shared farm space to grow food for their families when their resources were limited. GGN now includes 200 local growers and food systems leaders in Georgia (including our head chef, Mia Orino!) and operates 7 urban gardens and farms in the metro-Atlanta area. Since 2013, they have contributed more than $1 million to the local economy in fresh produce sales.

Our Farm Fondo guests will have the opportunity to tour two of their locations; we’ll meet at the Indian Creek Market Farm (located at the Indian Creek MARTA Station), and the first stop on the ride will be Decatur’s Kitchen Garden in Legacy Park, where guests will enjoy light refreshments and tour the large garden space. Next, we’ll head back to the Indian Creek Market Farm for a tour, refreshing beverages, and dinner with live music.
