ShopCFM: Behind the Scenes

What happens when you order at ShopCFMATL.org?  After ordering closes each Friday at 10am, the Community Farmers Market team gets to work! We are sharing glimpses of the process thanks to  photography by Jenna Shea. ShopCFM is unique in that we offer an online contactless shopping experience for all Atlantans including SNAP customers. (SNAP recipients, please email Aja@cfmatl.org for specific instructions!)

You can find many of your favorite local farmers and vendors on ShopCFMATL.org, each Weds-Fri at 10am. The Community Farmers Markets team then receives, aggregates, and organizes items into orders. We maintains safety practices throughout the ShopCFMATL fulfillment process, keeping the products, our vendors, and especially each other safe.

Each customer selects a pick up location – Ponce City Market (Tues), First Baptist Church of Decatur (Weds), Oakhurst at Sceptre Brewing Arts (Weds), and EAV Farmers Market lot (Thurs). Once on location, Team CFM further aggregate orders (since produce, bread, frozen meat, dry goods all require different shelf-stable temperatures and arrive separately) and hand off safely to customers.
Community Farmers Markets has worked hard to pivot from entirely in-person farmers markets to a fully-functioning virtual farmers market, to support both our community of eaters and our community of farmers, makers, and small business owners. If you’d like to support Community Farmers Markets and the work we do, please donate here. We appreciate your support now more than ever in our work to ensure local food accessibility.
