Help Needed with Seniors at Branan Towers

Branan Towers, an Atlanta senior living facility is one of our community outreach spots. We wanted to share their call for materials and food via community member Liliana Bakhtiari.

Hey all, earlier this week, myself and Armando Celentano reached out to Branan Towers to see what we could do to help the seniors in lockdown. I managed to speak to the life enrichment director, and it turns out they need quite a bit of help.

They’re running low on materials, certain fresh produce, and could use some additional canned food. They also need help with workbooks, etc., so the seniors there will have something to do during the lockdown.

Below is a list of materials the Towers requested:
  1. Laundry Detergent
  2. Dish Washing Liquids
  3. Clorox or Lysol Wipes
  4. Hand sanitizer
  5. Cereals
  6. Bread
  7. Canned goods
  8. Large word puzzle books
  9. Coloring books
  10. Crayons – Dollar Store brand is acceptable
  11. Big or Large Print Books for reading
  12. Kroger Gift Cards ($25 to $50 would be amazing)
Also, for parents at home with kids, here’s a way for your little ones to help! Seniors at the towers would love some illustrations. Any pictures or letters your kids are willing to make would certainly brighten their day.

Also, if anyone has an extra laptop or tablet that they no longer use, please also consider donating it. We are refurbishing old electronics to donate to the seniors so they can stay connected with the outside world.

For Drop Off:
Please drop off any materials at Argosy (470 Flat Shoals Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30316). They will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 4pm to 9pm. Please drop off your donations at the take out table. This will allow us to sanitize everything and deliver in bulk to a drop off point for the Towers.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me at liliana.bakhtiari@gmail.com and/or Armando at armando@argosy-east.com

Thank you everyone!
