The East Atlanta Village Farmers Market lot has seen a new project in 2020. A Sip of Paradise is the new community garden for bartenders, “that provides a healthy and safe garden space for bartenders to recharge their creativity, minds and themselves.” Atlanta Magazine featured A Sip of Paradise this past April with more about the genesis of the project.
Keyatta Mincey Parker, the Garden’s multi-talented director, gave us this update:
“A Sip of Paradise is thriving. All 41 of the plots have been sold, we got our 501c3 and recently partnered with Chareau Aloe Liqueur. Our members are growing everything, from tomatoes, peppers, Tuscan kale, collard greens, cabbage, carrots cucumbers, okra, agave and tons of herbs and flowers. It’s truly a bartenders dream.”
Feel free to stroll the community garden at 572 Stokeswood Ave SE anytime, and on Thursdays swing by from 4-6pm for a mini farmers market.
