Winter Market Jan.13 – March 23
Spring Launch March 30, 2024
In the spring of 2020, a new farmers market bloomed in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur. Sceptre Brewing Arts serves as a generous host, lending their front lot and relaxing patio to the weekly market gathering. Find all of your freshest produce, meat, delicious baked treats, and more amongst the weekly vendors. Additional offerings include live music and chef demonstrations featuring seasonal recipes. Rumor has it: there will even be a seasonal beer collaboration featuring market flavors.
Oakhurst Farmers Market is a long-awaited project from Atlanta-based nonprofit Community Farmers Markets (CFM). The mission of CFM is to develop a local food infrastructure for long term sustainability and meaningful community impact.
A huge thanks to our Oakhurst Super Fan Club: Shelby Buso, Lane Conville-Canney, Heather Gatcombe, Michelle Hughes, Shari Moore, Jonna O’Sullivan, Ben Perlman, Katherine Roguski, Michelle Skalka, Zack Walters, Meg Watson, Melissa Williams.
Many thanks to our in-kind sponsors for hosting us in the neighborhood including: Sceptre Brewing Arts, Vision Properties, Inc., Trinity Anglican Church, and Oakhurst FitWit.
Dog Policy: We are dog friendly, but please have your pups on a leash and ensure they are well-accustomed to other dogs and children. Owners are responsible for picking up after their dogs. View our full dog policy at the bottom of the page.
Oakhurst Farmers Market is located in front lot of Sceptre Brewing Arts in Harmony Park. You can easily find parking in the same lot or close by in this pedestrian-friendly neighborhood.
We match SNAP/EBT dollars with an equal amount of tokens for fruits and veggies. When you spend $10 of EBT, you get $20 worth of fresh, local food. Our wooden EBT tokens can be used on any EBT-qualifying food item, and our matching green tokens may be used to purchase fruits and vegetables only.
All you have to do is:
1.Owners are responsible and liable for their dogs. Dogs must be under control, on a short, non-expandable leash, and by the (adult) owner’s side at all times.
2. Dogs must be kept away from produce, plants, food products, and product displays. Items damaged by pets must be purchased by the owner.
3. Dogs must be socialized with other dogs and children. Barking and growling is not allowed. Aggressive dogs are not welcome.
4. Owners should be considerate of vendors and other guests – not everyone enjoys dogs.
5. Dog owners must clean up after their pet.
CFM management will request owners remove dogs from the market if the above rules are violated. Thank you for helping to keep our market safe for everyone. Please visit the information booth with any questions or concerns.
