Decatur Farmers Market will open for the 2024 season on March 27, 2024 Wednesdays 4-7pm Rain or Shine First Baptist Church Decatur, 308 Clairemont Ave.
The Decatur Farmers Markets boast proud residents and neighbors who are all about keeping it “Indie-Catur.” This market is a cornerstone for the local, independent movement for this ultra-connected community. The Decatur markets joined the CFM team in 2013, and is thriving with the support of the local community. While previously open on both Saturday and Wednesday, as of 2020 we’re continuing the Wednesday market and have moved Saturday’s market to the neighborhood of Oakhurst, Decatur (at Sceptre Brewing Arts, 9am-1pm).
The Decatur Farmers Market is located at 308 Clairemont Ave, on the corner of Commerce Street, held on the front lawn. With plenty of space to sit and enjoy the outdoor market, it’s a perfect place for families to gather and play. Look for the tents; you can’t miss us!
Dog Policy: We are dog friendly, but please have your pups on a leash and ensure that they are well-accustomed to other dogs and children. Owners are responsible for picking up after their dogs. View our full dog policy at the bottom of the page.
Covid-19 guidelines: CDC recommends wearing a mask if you are not fully vaccinated. We have hand sanitizer available at the info booth, and most vendors offer contactless payment options.
Market attendees should park in the church parking lot on Clairemont Avenue. Parking there is free and amble with easy access to the market. Look out for the parking signs and attendants!
Starting at 4:30PM, visitors will also be able to park in the upper parking deck next to the church at Commerce Drive for free. Lower parking deck is always free (enter from Clairmont).
Thanks to our partnership with Wholesome Wave Georgia, we match SNAP/EBT dollars with an equal amount of tokens for fruits and veggies. When you spend $10 of EBT, you get $20 worth of fresh, local food. Our wooden EBT tokens can be used on any EBT-qualifying food item, and our matching green tokens may be used to purchase fruits and vegetables only.
All you have to do is:
1.Owners are responsible and liable for their dogs. Dogs must be under control, on a short, non-expandable leash, and by the (adult) owner’s side at all times.
2. Dogs must be kept away from produce, plants, food products, and product displays. Items damaged by pets must be purchased by the owner.
3. Dogs must be socialized with other dogs and children. Barking and growling is not allowed. Aggressive dogs are not welcome.
4. Owners should be considerate of vendors and other guests – not everyone enjoys dogs.
5. Dog owners must clean up after their pet.
CFM management will request owners remove dogs from the market if the above rules are violated. Thank you for helping to keep our market safe for everyone. Please visit the information booth with any questions or concerns.
